Ergonomics

VANK offers ergonomic chairs, armchairs, desks, and acoustic pods that bring wellbeing to the workplace. We arrange spaces that are employee-friendly, that do not expose people to stress and that allow them to experience comfort while both working and enjoying a moment of relaxation. The essence of our approach to design is the adaptation of tools and working conditions to human psychophysical capabilities. We believe in and are strong advocates of inclusive design — we draw on human diversity and create furniture optimised for a specific user with specific needs.
The right proportions, dimensions, angles, fillings, mechanisms, lighting — these are the main factors that our team of designers, engineers, and testers take into account in their practice. Since the furniture we use at work is something we actually use most of the day, the results of our team’s efforts aim to prevent health issues. The parts of our body that are most exposed to strain during a typical working day are the eyes, spine, wrists, not to mention our muscles and limbs, which tend to tense up.
We also act with concern for mental health, offering solutions for neurodiverse people. The design and the acoustic features of the space where people work have a great impact on their wellbeing. With mobile rooms, we give people the opportunity to strike the right balance between being part of a group and enjoying the freedom that comes with being alone. The use of natural materials, plants, pleasant textures, and toned-down colours brings harmony and tranquillity to the workplace.
