V6 office chairs

Designed as the driving force of work, the VANK_V6 office chair offers intuitive mechanics to address many different needs. The form of the chair screams modernity. Its aesthetics is a strong reference to the distinctive styling of sports cars. The shared features include dynamic lines and emphasized aluminium elements. A perforated mesh backrest with a geometrical pattern imparts a sense of lightness to the chair. Its five-pointed aluminium base is a sturdy, durable structure. The V6 makes a great addition to home environments. It can be used from morning to evening — for work, learning, or gaming. The range of VANK_V6’s ergonomic features and customisation options makes its user become literally one with the chair. The backrest may be fully upholstered, also on the back, which makes the entire piece more cosy and homey.

GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2019

“The modern design of the V6 combines contemporary functionality with sporty, technical aesthetics” — as said by the 2018 German Design Award jury, which gave VANK a special award for the V6 swivel chair.

MUST HAVE 2019

MUST HAVE is a Polish award given annually during Łódź Design Festival, organised since 2007 by the Łódź Art Center Foundation. In 2019, it was awarded to a swivel chair by VANK.

IF DESIGN AWARD 2018

VANK’s first swivel chair, the V6, has won the iF DESIGN AWARD in the “Product: office” category. The distinction was awarded by iF International Forum Design GmbH of Hanover, the oldest independent design institution in Germany.

__ Distinguishing features

ERGONOMICS

The mechanism adjusts the angle between the user’s back and the seat, which makes it possible to adjust the pressure on the backrest according to the user’s weight. The backrest can be locked in 5 different positions (anti-kickback feature, preventing the backrest from returning to the neutral position on its own)

CUSTOMISABILITY

The seat height is adjustable within a range of 12 cm. The seat depth is adjustable within a range of 6 cm. The backrest height is adjustable within a range of 8 cm. The armrests can be adjusted in height, depth, width, and angle.

The inspiration behind V6 is the rhythm of the city, modern architecture, and dynamic sports cars — which are also going increasingly green.

RECYCLING

The cross base, the backrest bearing structure, and the armrests are manufactured from recycled aluminium and can be recycled again. Additionally, the process of recycling takes place in a foundry located near VANK’s facility – not on some faraway continent.

BACKREST DESIGN

The version without an upholstered cushion is an open-form structure that provides airflow behind the back. The second version — featuring an upholstered cushion — is softer and more comfortable. The third type of backrest — fully upholstered — gives the armchair a homey feel.

VANK_V6 product family consists of swivel chairs with gas lift, height adjustment and synchronous mechanism for regulation of angle between seat and backrest and option of setting in 5 various positions and manual power adjustment of the backrest depending on body mass of user. Backrest made of material with transparent pattern black or light- grey color and option of upholstered cushion or fully upholstered. Height adjustment of backrest in 8 cm range, lockable in 11 positions. Swivel chair is available with an upholstered headrest, adjustable in height and at an angle, version available only with black material. Seat made of material with upholstered and anatomically contoured cushion with seat depth adjustment in 6 cm range, lockable in 5 positions. Aluminium parts powder coated or polished. Castors 60 mm diameter for carpet flooring or hard flooring.
