WAVE open acoustic pods

Arranging the available workspace in the right way by providing employees with space for individual heads-down work and conversations makes the workplace much more employee-friendly and boosts creativity. Such arrangements are possible thanks to open acoustic pods — VANK’s mobile rooms for 2 or 4. This version does not have a door — it features a plain upholstered back wall. Thanks to the special design and the use of sound-absorbing materials, the pods effectively block outside noise. WAVE panels with their three-dimensional structure act as diffusers to break up sound waves, bringing well-being to the office. They can be made of a biocomposite or non-woven rPET — grey or upholstered. The pods come with LED ceiling lighting with a switch and a connection panel. Acoustic pods will work well not only in office environments but also at event venues, in hotels, in public office buildings, and at airports.

GERMAN SUSTAINABILITY AWARD DESIGN 2022

VANK_PANEL and the use of plant-fibre-based materials were recognised by the jury of the German Sustainability Award Design. VANK_PANEL was selected as a finalist in the 2022 competition.

GREEN PRODUCT AWARD 2022

VANK_FLIP received the Green Product Award 2026 in the Workspace category. The jury recognised the mobile acoustic partition system made from a biocomposite based on flax and hemp fibres. The system allows the layout and character of a space to be changed without interfering with the building structure, creating dedicated areas for work and meetings. ICONIC AWARDS 2022 Winner - BIO

The design of VANK’s BIO acoustic pod received “The Winner” title in the Innovative Interiors category of the ICONIC AWARDS 2022 competition organised by the German Design Council.

Distinguishing features

ACOUSTICS

The three-dimensional structure of the panels guarantees effective dispersion of acoustic waves and sound absorption at the level of αw=0.90.

MATERIAL

VANK BIO acoustic panels are made from a biocomposite based on fibrous plants, i.e. flax and hemp.

The aesthetics of WAVE are inspired by the phenomenon of two opposing sound waves meeting head-on, becoming both ‘cancelled’ as a result.

rPET

VANK rPET acoustic panels are made from non-woven recycled plastic. They can come in a wide range of colours if upholstered in a fabric of choice.

DIVERSITY OF FORM

The pods come in many combinations: with one or two glass walls, with the body featuring the wave pattern on two sides side or one side only (the other is upholstered in plain fabric).

MOBILITY

All VANK acoustic pods can be moved freely at any time - and disassembled and assembled back if necessary. This is possible thanks to the castors fixed to the base and the heavy-duty design - suitable for repeated assembly.

FREEDOM OF FURNISHING

The freedom to furnish the pod with furniture makes it easy to adapt it to the current needs of the organisation. Available options include standard seats or collections like CO, CELOO, RING, V6, and PEEL.

Collection Wave

The WAVE collection of acoustic pods, walls, wall and desk panels has been created in response to the need for a space for conversations, for meetings that require a break from the influx of external stimuli and focus on what really matters. As a means to maintain the balance between personal space and teamwork. WAVE panels with their three-dimensional structure act as diffusers to break up sound waves, bringing well-being to the office. They can be made of a biocomposite or non-woven rPET — grey or upholstered. Such acoustic solutions will work great not only in office environments, but also in hotels, public office buildings, at airports, and in all sorts of event, industrial, and logistics facilities.
