Our group of VANK recycled fabrics now includes Granola, made of 31% cotton from second-cycle T-shirts and 22% recycled wool. This is an another step towards a circular economy.

Granola is a multi-coloured, mélange upholstery fabric inspired by Donegal tweed style.

Did you know that Donegal is a town in County Donegal, Ireland?

It is famous for its woollen fabric known as Donegal tweed, which is made using two yarn types - a lighter and a darker one. This combination creates a unique irregular shade that looks homogeneous from a distance. If you look closely, you can see the fine coloured silk weaves, which make up 10% of the composition. Colourful accents on a uniform background are very fine - from a distance, the fabric gives the impression of uniform, from close up you can see small weaves of silk. Its mélange weave makes it a perfect match for interiors inspired by the 1960s style but also in any adopted interiors where recycled or vintage furniture is arranged.

The Granola fabric can be found in the VANK pattern book at price group III. Our selection includes 6 calming colors inspired by nature. This fabric is used in furniture pieces from our CELOO, DRONN, KRAK, PEEL, RANZ, RING collections, as well as our latest additions for 2023: CUBE and LONG.
