Premiere of VANK's circular solutions for the public space

This autumn VANK will demonstrate mainly the power of annual renewable plants as a sustainable alternative to traditional furniture materials like solid wood. By showcasing cutting-edge technologies they are paving the way for a more sustainable future. By using plant-based raw materials, VANK minimises the use of wood and petroleum-based materials, contributing to the circular economy and the fight against the climate crisis.

Flax and hemp, thanks to their rapid growth and eco-friendly properties, serve as ideal raw materials for realizing this vision. During their rapid growth phase, they absorb CO2 from the atmosphere, converting it into biomass through photosynthesis. Using these biomaterials, VANK creates health-friendly acoustic panels — elements of wall compositions, mobile partitions, and office dividers, as well as VANK pods – cabins for meetings and individual work.

Both prestigious events are an opportunity to showcase new acoustic solutions. The first is a new 3D biopanel design, developed in collaboration with Bidermann + Wide architects, and based on VANK’s technology – VANK_BRICKS. The studio, led by Maciej Bidermann and based in Poznań, specializes in creating interior architecture in line with the idea of future-conscious design, considering the needs of both people and the planet.

The second new solution is the VANK_FLIP mobile, modular acoustic wall, which enables space zoning and improves acoustic comfort in open areas. The wall’s unique ability to effectively reduce reverberation time, thanks to being double-sided and covered with panels, has been scientifically confirmed using advanced acoustic modeling. The panels are made from natural biomaterials, eliminating the risk of exposing workers to harmful substances. VANK_FLIP walls in open spaces positively impact the mental and physical well-being of employees. With movable segments, users can control their accessibility by opening or closing a selected segment, like a window. This solution was created with the comfort of neuroatypical individuals in mind.

Complementing these acoustic solutions, primarily used in office spaces, will be circular soft-seating collections for meeting and relaxation areas. The new VANK_LOOP line of circular seating – poufs, was created in collaboration with Ege Carpets and the Hans Thyge & CO design studio and is filled with non-woven fabric made from recycled carpet production waste.

We invite design professionals, journalists, and enthusiasts to join us at the upcoming events. Together, let’s explore the limitless possibilities of Cradle to Cradle design and its impact on our surroundings.
