THE MAGIC OF RECYCLING
Making use of recycled instead of virgin plastics in production reduces the amount of climate-damaging emissions generated. This approach also decreases the demand for new, petroleum-based raw materials (REUSE principle). VANK offers acoustic panels made from consumer waste – used PET bottles. Panels made from polyester non-woven fabric with a felt finish are line the pods or walls of public spaces, walls of desks and office cabinets.
The structure of the panels makes it possible to reduce several manufacturing stages to a single process of smart 3D pressing. We are able to shape recyclable panels in an infinite number of ways.
Another raw material extracted from consumer waste is aluminium. VANK uses locally melted tins to make bases or frames for different sorts of chairs, tables, and acoustic walls. All components are 100% recyclable. Even when remelted many times, aluminium does not lose its functional and practical properties. That’s why it is such a useful resource. One with an infinite number of lives. Recycling of aluminium makes it possible to reduce air pollution by 95% and water pollution by 97% compared to the production of aluminium from ore.
